Lead Foot LFV-1

I'd read several "reviews" that complained about the pedal's build quality/longevity but I've found no basis to agree with those opinions. I've stomped on this thing and adjusted the volumes with the same gusto as any volume/wah pedal I've ever owned and this thing takes it all in stride, never failing to work as intended.
I've also read people's complaints about the volume pot being "scratchy" but I've had zero experience with this problem on this pedal. Even if this thing exploded into 1000 chunks, the low price means I'd just buy another LFV-1.

I have not used this pedal a lot, but it did the job! It is made of rugged plastic (bakelite or ABS, maybe), matte black with hard rubber bumpers at all contact points, including on the top and bottom. Not too light, not too heavy, just right, in my opinion.

Its mechanics is excellent! It doesn't oppose too much resistence, but it neither slips out of control, and wherever you stop it, it stays right there. I would not change absolutely anything in this respect, period. Hopefully, its dynamics won't change with use :)

The volume taper is good, too. Presuming one uses it correctly, after the gain stages / preamp (in the FX loop, if available). It is smooth and it is easy to fade in or out, or cancel the pick attack to make strings-like sounds. Maybe at the bottom volume it could be just a little more precise, but fading out can be done smoothly all the way with a little care.

I cannot talk about its durability because I have not used it for long, but I have brutalized it a little doing cello tunes, and it didn't break. So far so good.

The rubber on the bottom could be more sticky, it slips a little over my shiny floor.

I bought this pedal to use it as a volume pedal but, for this price, this is a must buy for DIY enthusiasts. Out of the box, it works well, but the plastic box dos not provide shielding, so, it is sensible to RF interference. I solved it covering the inside with Aluminium duct tape connected to ground, and it worked perfectly.
This pedal may be modded to use as expression pedal, or even Wha Wha enclosure box. Although it is made of plastic, it is rough enough. The stock pot is a standard 16mm body diameter, knurled 6mm shaft with 100K, which is not the best for extreme use, bot it is very cheap to replace or inprove.

Ok, so I use this for occasional swells, usually with a bit of delay as well.

It's a nice cheap volume pedal, does the job. I hardly ever use it tbh, but it seems to be built well enough. I didn't want to spend too much on something I don't use often.

Thomann is always my first place to shop. Great service.
They have always responded very well when I've has something faulty (which has been rare).
This is the best measure of a company I believe; how they respond when there is a problem, Thomann are great.
