Great fun but has some issues
Ford1123 26.08.2026
Ordered this bass to look the part in a larger ukulele band. Whilst I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it, it has some issues in terms of overall quality and playability: one of the neck screws was most of the way out on arrival and needed to be drilled in; the intonation on arrival was significantly out and took some time to adjust to keep 12th fret in tune; the low B string is essentially decorative, the scale is not long enough for this extended low range and no notes I've played on this string sound musical; the tuning pegs are very small and do not allow for a particularly high level of precision; lastly, this is significantly heavier than expected, moreso than my full scale basses.

That being said, anything played on the A string or above sounds great and the short scale makes for some very enjoyable playing.

All in all, a good instrument but be aware of the limitations.
