Works with bass too
Before I bought it I didn't understand it from other reviews if it is works for bass guitar. Now I can tell you it works, but the distance between bass strings is a bit bigger than with guitar and you should use bow leaning only on one string and in the air on the other side. It need a lot of practice to be able to play clean.
Both in case of guitar or bass you need to practice to be able to obtain in short time the sound and keep it clean without interference from other strings, unwanted sounds made by touching bow on adjacent strings.
When you get it is very fun.

A Great E-Bow Alternative
I wanted to try this on bass, but wasn't sure if I would like it as much as I thought, so I got this cheaper version of the popular E-Bow.
It does work quite well, though if you use it on bass like me, you may want to consider the following:
This product, just like the original E-Bow, is better suited for guitars. The grooves on the device are meant to fit around the 6 thin strings of a guitar and not so much on the 4 thick strings of a bass. It takes some extra practice to position the device correctly and actually get it to work, but that doesn't make this product bad, on the contrary.
My only complaint is that the magnetic field is not as strong as the E-Bow's, so the strings won't start vibrating as easily.
But for the price, it's a really good alternative. Though I will probably buy the original E-Bow in the future because of its better performance.
If you play guitar however, your strings are lighter and easier to vibrate, so you probably won't have this issue and this is even a better option for you.

Exactly what I was expecting, in a good way
I never had an Ebow in my hands, but I did watch numerous demos about it. After discovering that there are cheaper alternatives that work the same way, such as this one, I decided to buy it.
Pros:
Comes with TWO batteries. One is loaded, the other a spare.
The instruction manual is short, but on-point. Works best on a humbucker, and on a neck pickup for best results.
Cons: Plastic switch that activates the device isn't very sturdy.
