Jody Jazz Bass Saxophone DV 7

Ich verwende das Jody Jazz Bass für mein Bari und habe dafür das Super Jet auf die Seite gelegt und bisher keine Sekunde bereut. Die spürbar größere Kammer macht die Tiefen (besonders mit einem Bass Blatt) richtig fett, ohne dabei bei den Obertönen zu sparen. Es zeichnet sich durch die bei Jody Jazz zu erwartende freie Spielbarkeit und leichte Ansprache aus. Besonders begeistert bin ich von dem warmen Timbre bei geringeren, sachteren Lautstärken. Zu Beginn war ich von der mangelnden Brachialgewalt (im Vergleich zum Super Jet) etwas enttäuscht, nach einigen Tagen mit dem BASS lassen sich aber wunderbar grausliche Klänge mit feinsten Abstufungen in den Obertönen produzieren. This mouthpiece does all that it claims. It blows freely and greatly improves the response of the 'notorious' D2 on Bass Sax. Tone can be whatever you want... just picture the sound and it is magically produced, cutting edge or smooth full tone. On Baritone it's a dream, the enlarged chamber gives a warm, slightly dark tone but, again, with the possibility of real power and cutting edge.
Worth every cent of the price!

This guy is THE BEAST. Not particularly easy to play for me (intermediate lvl player, let's say), but the potential is bigger than huge!
I'll almost definitely give up with attempts to create super-clean sound with this mouthpiece, there are other ones that serve out-of-the box for clean tone. But for all other sound colors, in my case e.g.: consistent/reasonable growl; groovy and full basses; harmonic chords; later hopefully reliable altissimo range... for all that I'd buy this expensive piece again!
