A very nice guitar

The quality and sound is great in my opinion. The only thing which I have to point out is that there was no luthier setup whatsoever. The fret ends were very sharp and were sticking out, I haven't seen so sharp frets on any new guitar befere. For me it's fine, because I have tools and I do this kind of setup work myself, but it would add around 100 euro to the cost if I had to pay for the setup. Other than that everything is great. The frets are leveled, no issues with the finish. Ah yes, one more thing, the G string slot was a bit high on the nut, so I had to cut it deeper. simply amazing for the price point. the fit/finish was fantastic and the sound through my DSP setup was great. the paint finish is just amazing in hand. I love the color and the shifting. solidly hits above it's price point. we done product!

A beautiful guitar to look at and a great guitar to play

Ibanez GIO have really impressed with their good quality instruments, with great features and sound. This guitar initially had a reputation for microphonic pickups, but I guess Ibanez have sorted out that problem, as I found the pickups were very good. The paint on this guitar is fantastic, and the fact that you can get that "dynamic and alive" type of paint on a budget guitar is a great thing for all guitarists.

picked up the Ibanez GRG121SP-BMC as a stylish and affordable guitar for rock and metal playing. The finish is stunning in person and the neck is smooth and fast, perfect for both power chords and lead lines. The pickups deliver a clear, modern tone suitable for high-gain settings without losing definition. Amazing finish, price/performance electronics

I like cheap gears with good sound 13.01.2025

I have been playing this beauty since June 2024. As a guitar below 300 EUR, this is one of the best options since the finish itself and 5 way switch worth it, so upgrading the pickups by time won't be an issue.

My purchase was ready to play out of the box, I just changed the strings with lighter gauges, I even didn't need to adjust the neck or intonation.

Great guitar for this price point

Bought on behalf of my sister, for my nephew. Extremely impressed with this instrument, as a beginner guitar. Great tonal versatility, very playable neck, holds tune faultlessly.
The set up - out of the box - was perfect. No intonation, neck, or action adjustment was required. Some may like a slightly lower action, but this was perfect for me, and perfect for a beginner guitar player (action shouldn't be too low for a beginner imho). In all, this plays and sounds like a guitar twice the price of this. You can't really go wrong. 5/5 for this price point.
