Security locks
These can range from the low prices, in which these are, upto about £30. If you are looking for lock nuts then try these out first to see if you like them, if not then you didnt waste much money.
They are very strong and very rigid. Very hard to undo at will, but i guess thats the point right? i cant see why you would want to spend a fortune on a simple mechanism just for the product name. Buy them, they are fantastic.

Very good in general
Very good strap lock in general. I've ordered 10 of them and 2 came faulty (could not tighten the nut) but i've bought other nut and screw it down. Would buy again.

Stable locks that look alright
Excellent value for money if you are looking for spare parts or maybe building your own instrument!
With that said, they do not look very "cool", but they are not ugly either. The screws are maybe not the strongest or thickest, but they do the job. I used mine on an old Ibanez bass that is not exactly a high profile instrument, but that I still don't want to drop while playing. Buying these was a sensible option - and, as it turned out, the right choice for me.
If you are looking for something of "the right" brand, something with "the right" looks etc, these may not be for you. But if you, like me, are looking for something that will do the job without costing you an arm and a half - buy these!

GOOD VALUE BUT WORK LOOSE. BE CAREFUL!
Obvious copies of famous brand name but they work just as well and are very inexpensive to buy.
They come with only one nut and unless checked regularly have a tendency to work loose. This could be fixed so easily by including an extra nut (they are very cheap) to act as a lock nut.

Strap locks for punk
I bought two sets of these, one in nickel finish (a more yellowish golden color) and the other in chrome which is the regular silver-ish color you see practically on all modern electric guitar hardware.
Looks the part but I haven't installed either yet. One thing I don't appreciate about strap locks in general is that they are all too ungainly, heavy and complicated to use.
Recommended for 60-year old teenagers who need to prance around like a horse in pain just to prove that they the godfather of punk. Guitar insurance of the mechanical kind. :o)

Nice!
Great straplocks, and I'd definitely suggest these over the Schaller locks, because they are much cheaper! Took me about 4 minutes to install. They come off and on really quickly and easily so you aren't playing with your strap. Great product for the price. BUT: There is an issues with these strap-locks that I have come across. I purchased a nice leather strap, but their didn't seem to be enough threads on the lock to fit the strap on. I managed to get it to work by thinning the leather of the strap with a vise. Overall it wasn't a huge issue, just a bit annoying.

Some interesting locks
Bought two sets of these. One for my stratocaster and other for my bass. Both work pretty good. I found a problem on both though. They tend to unscrew a little bit too much and sometimes are hard to get the strap on the guitar but this is just a question of habit. Besides this, they work just fine and there is no need for more expensive ones like the Dunlop ones and such.
I will buy now one more set for my Les Paul which proves that I'm happy with them and I will continue with them for the nearby future.

These Harley Benton Secuirty Locks Nickel does their job, but rattle a lot. They look great and are easy to use. For the price I payed, I'm very satisfied. Great, cheap product!
