Great value for money and easy to play
This is my second bass uke. My first is much smaller - around the size of tenor uke - this is more of a small guitar. However, the larger size means the strings have more tension and make it easier to play.
The built-in tuner is a bit disappointing - it cost it a "star" in the rating! - it switches to tuner mode automatically when you plug the uke in; so until you get used to that, you wonder why there's no sound coming out. And the tuner is a bit slow reporting if it's in tune.

Plain and simple, neat and tidy.
After playing for some years with a converted 1/2 size child's guitar, I decided to try a purpose made U-Bass and as usual, good old Thoman have catered for us lefties again.
The package arrived in 5 days, only marginally longer than pre-Brexit days, perfectly packaged and in very good shape.
This is my 3rd Harley Benton buy, and again, very well finished, plays well out of the box, not prestigious but well made and fitfor purpose.
Unplugged it's OK for practice, i didn't expect much noise from such a small fellow.
Amped it sounds like a double bass, not much tone variance from the on board EQ. Tone is good though and pleasing if you want just a cool bass line.
The tuner is a bit annoying, it kicks in when the jack plug goes in and mutes the output and you are left wondering if the battery has died or something, but you get used to that.
So overall, great value for money, couldn't find a left handed U-Bass anywhere near the price, fits my needs exactly.
Thank you Thoman for serving us left handers once more.

Great little instrument!
I have always had an affinity for the bass. My standard bass guitar, which I have owned for a number of years, is an enjoyable instrument to play however it is certainly cumbersome for simply lounging and making sound. This little bass affords me the luxury of simply grabbing it and tinkering with sounds. The economy of size makes a significant difference in the ability to pick up and play. Additionally, since it is nearly 20” shorter than my standard bass, I am able to move along the fret board with greater ease. The sound is perfectly fine for me while unplugged so I can tinker and not drive my wife crazy. I am thrilled with the price and quality. The ordering process was easy and shipped incredibly quickly. It took less than 1 week between order and delivery. I should also mention I am left handed and it can be a challenge to find left handed anything. However, they had one in stock and ready to go, which was a huge bonus. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend!!!
