Good. With some quick fixes, great!
I am pleased with GL-2NT, overall. For the price, I cannot complain. The instrument is well-built and looks nice in its plainness.
I intend to keep it in 'A' tuning. I understand many reviewers have purchased the GL-2NT as a travel guitar, but I cannot imagine it sounds nice in standard E tuning. The thing isn't built for it. Regardless, it is well worth the money, and is fun to play.
I had some minors qualms, however. The initial strings included were of poor quality, particularly the trebles (no sustain). Also, the action was too high, resulting in problems with the instruments intonation. I removed about 1.5mm-2mm from the saddle and voila; problem solved. 5 minutes of work to turn an OK purchase into a good one. I plan to replace the saddle and nut with higher-quality pieces and swap the strings. This isn't necessary. This guitalele is mostly fine out-of-the-box, but - as is the case with many budget instruments - it is easy to get even more out of your money. Thanks, Thomann!

Nice quality, flat sound
I purchased two of these. The quality is great, especially considering the low price. My instrument has been dropped many times, has been played with by kids, and they are still in good shape. Impressive!
The quality of the case is not so good. It's just a plain bag with no padding. It works, but I replaced mine pretty quickly with a Thomann Tenor Ukulele Gigbag with 10mm padding. I'd have preferred thicker, but that's the best fit that I found.
On one I kept the A tuning, and for the other I purchased E strings (Aquilla Red). Either way the sound is pretty flat and not so impressive. Still, it's a good instrument for a child, for travel, or for practice on the road when nothing else is available.

Nice for the Price
Bought it for motorbike trips: small, handy, and not too expensive.
It had severe intonation problems when I got it, but grinding 1.0-1.5mm off the bridge helped a lot. Short term solution was a capo on the first fret, which worked reasonably well. Perhaps Thomann could fix this already in production.
Using it in standard tuning as the A tuning seems too low to my ears (small body doesn't project the low frequencies very well). But not sure whether the added tension will be a problem in the long run.

Great sound!
Bought it for its exceptional low price to transform it into an 8 string ukulele. Its well constructed so it was very easy to work with.
Replaced the tuner pegs with a mandolin set, modified the headstock and glued a strip with holes on the bridge so it can be stringed with 6 or 8 strings.
Sounds very good, its loud and not too bright and has longer sustain and depth than my $500 8 string Kala uke.
Highly recommend this Guilele.

Harley Benton Guitarlele
This "novelty" instrument is basically a smaller guitar, tuned as if a regular guitar had a capo on the 5th fret.
The sound is very close to a classical guitar (it has nylon strings), but a little less deep, due to the small size of the body. All in all, the sound is quite pleasing.
This little guitarlele is great to bring when hiking, traveling, camping and also working.
It could even be played while traveling in a van during the journey.
For those who'd like to tune it like a regular guitar:
Tuning it down with its original strings makes them a little "rubbery", but it can still be played well and sound good. Maybe a little fret buzz here and there, but nothing major.
I think it could benefit from higher tension classical guitar strings, if I'll ever try I'll update this review.
Very easily recommended little big intrument.

reisgitaar in standard tuning

Learning and playing
A very nice instrument, it has a more opened sound than its Yamaha similar. That is because of its good woods. And dimensions are just fit to 4 year old up to adult. I really recomend it.
