GK
Amazing guitar, not only for the money
Georgi Kolev 21.05.2026
The guitar is (almost) perfect, not only for the money, but in general.

Finish, hardware, woods - 10/10. The body, neck, fingerboard, neck pocket - everything is machined perfectly. I got lucky and got very nice flame on the back of the neck. The finish is super smooth, the body looks amazing. Best neck I've ever tried. No flaws whatsoever. The Babitz bridge is fantastic, yes, it will require some time to get used to the saddles, but I figured out the placement for proper palm mute in 2 minutes. The sustain is great, stays in tune.

Pickups - 9/10. The alter switch is nice, but most of the tones are not really usable for my playing style. The split mode is usable though and quite pleasant (alter switch on and position 2). I don't really find use in that "ghost" mode (could be me). In regular humbucker mode the sound is fine, not great, not terrible - definitely usable.

I brought it to my local luthier for a setup and he was simply amazed by the overall quality of the instrument. The woods, the machinery - great in general.

It needed setup, however. I don't think this is a reason not to buy the guitar though - quite the opposite - I bring all my guitars for setup, even more expensive guitars from Fender and Ibanez come with poor setup. The first 3 frets were a bit high, bit not much, they were also not polished. The nut was a bit high too. The action on the bridge needed to be lowered a bit too.

So, if you are in the market for a versatile super strat and you don't care about the name on the headstock, you can't go wrong with the Fusion IV.
