Harley Benton Custom Line CLJ-412E SB

This is my first 12-string that I bought two months ago, and boy do I wish that I got this 30 years earlier. The build and sound quality are excellent: playing it is thrilling and being engulfed in the rich and warm sound is a marvelous experience. The tuners feel a bit flimsy but I can live with that. The only thing that annoys me is the built-in Fishman tuner: unlike my Ovation tuner, the Fishman does not switch off automatically after a while. Consequently, as I often forget to switch it off, I have already drained two (expensive!) 9V batteries. That’s a bummer, and as I don’t think that my memory will improve in the coming years, I hope that future models will have an improved tuner, and that Harley and Benton will generously send me one of those.

Pros : This is a really nice guitar for the money,
It looks brilliant, love the sunburst.
The neck is great and it's very well made.
It sounds lovely and chimey,
The guitar's sound has been inspiring me so I'm enjoying playing and writing new songs.

Cons : As it's a sort of Jumbo style It's not really comfortable to play when sitting, the big bottom of the guitar makes you lift your arm and shoulder over the ass which tends to make you play with neck dropped down, and because of the shape you can't remedy this by trying a more "classical" postion of the bottom of the guitar between your knees - too big! I've been finding Iit slides forward on my lap. Next stop is playing it like a Dobro!
2: Continuing on from point 1 the upper bout is sticking into my chest no matter how I adjust my position so maybe not a guitar for a smaller framed person, it's easier to play strapped on and standing up.

Conclusion: It's a great guitar, thought about sending it back ,but I'm keeping it!
