Offers good protection.
If you have an expensive snare drum and regularly gig or transport it around then this is a must. The plastic is strong and sturdy and will protect the drum if anything falls on it or it is dropped above and beyond that of a fabric case. The one problem I found was the foam inserts that hold the snare in place eventually came unstuck and required re-attaching, not a big issue but stops it from scoring top marks for such a relatively expensive product.
