Purchased this specifically for developing brush skills, plus ordered a Remo Skyntone Head for the same reason. Build quality is excellent, as you would expect from Gretsch. Being steel, the sound is crisp and tight and is so good that I didn't bother replacing the Remo head supplied with it. For me, this is an ideal snare for developing my brush skills, particularly given the excellent price.

Hab mir diese Snare als Erweiterung für mein Gretsch Catalina Club Kit gekauft. Ich hab eine Stahlsnare von Gretsch gesucht, die schön knackig klingt, nicht zu scharf wird bei Rimshots und trotzdem crisp bleibt. Ich hab sie hoch gestimmt, so gefällt sie mir am besten. Sie klingt genau so wie im Produktvideo von Gretsch. Ich finde sie für eine Stahlsnare eher trocken im Klang, hat aber noch Oberton Reserven die mit einem Remo Ambassador bzw. EVANS G1/UV1 sicher besser zur Geltung kommen.

Mit dieser Snare bin ich absolut zufrieden. Normalerweise tausche ich immer gleich mal Schlagfell, Resofell und Teppich aus, aber bei dieser war das nicht nötig, da sie schon Serienmäßig zu geil klingt. Und der Preis ist mega fair. Verarbeitung ist TOP.

Gibt also nichts zu meckern. Bin sehr zufrieden.

Habe schon einges an Snares angesammelt. Wollte noch ne 14er Steele und hab mich lange umgesehen und auch durchgespielt. Ludwig, Tama, Mapex, Pearl etc.. Bin dann bei dieser hier gelandet. Hatte ich bei nem Freund gesehen und gespielt. Spricht direkt an, knackt richtig, lässt sich jedoch auch sehr fein und versatil spielen. Top Verarbeitung, klasse Sound, tolle Optik, guter Teppich, Anhebung und sogar sehr gute Remo-FabricFelle drauf die man wirklich erstmal lassen kann. Gerade die 5" find ich persönlich bei ner Steele besser als die 6,5". Auch hier, da knackiger, weniger Obertöne und Steele"Dröhnen". Gerade bei Stahl und Alu kommen die 5" oft besser und spielen nach meinem Empfinden den Vorteil des Materials direkter aus. Der Preis ist mMn für eine solche Snare (die an die Oberliga heranreicht) unschlagbar. Absolute Kaufempfehlung.
