6 months in, still happy with it
I wanted a not too expensive pick up for playing at home, for my top notch Eastman Dreadnaught E20D TC. With a cheap Behringer ADI 21 to mellow the "electric" sound abit , (or some good EQ) this is a great pick up. It lacks the woody sound, but it does not bother me. It does absolutely convey the quality of the guitar. Flageolets at the normal and abnormal places...it picks up all overtones perfectly. So even though it looks a bit strange, with the chrome,in that Martin 1934 copy, I decided to install it permanently. Needed to drill out the endpin hole a little but apart from that installing it was very easy. I did try it also in a small body parlor style guitar, sounds great as well. I play mostly fingerstyle blues. Maybe one day IΒ΄ll upgrade to a soundholepick up with a built in mic, but 6 months in I am still happy with it.

Great!
Ideal for my small sound hole parlor guitar Ibanez AVN3.
High output and with nice leather strap for hanging at strap pin. No need for modifications on the guitar.
Easy to fix.

I love this pickup, it looks so classic and sounds very chimey. Depending on your amp type, mine is an old AC 30.
I fit my new pickup in a small body acoustic because I'm no fan of peizo puckups. This is a great conversion, turning my twangy acoustic into a sweet bluesy sweetheart.
Very little eq needed, maybe a "tad" of cut on treble and mid.
Took me 30 minutes and new strings, on my kitchen table. Well worth it. I certainly recommend.

Nice
Ordered for my 60s Koren made acoustic. Nice and spitty and warm. Great for recording to mix with a condenser at the bridge (I find)

Great pickup!
If your looking for a clean, true to tone pickup for your acoustic, look elsewhere, but the tonal qualites of this pickup make it a must for any blues slide player looking to electrify his sound. The sound is close to a single coil Strat! On the Stock Parlor guitar from Gretsch, it is nothing short of divine. Please note that your soundhole size is important. Although it fits in most guitars, it may not cover an even balance on a big, wide hole...i.e I suspect this is geared towards more compact smaller corpus guitars etc. For this price its just a super fun otion to try and add on all your acostic guitars, some will work better than others. The tone is more electric, as I said, so keep that in mind.
