Great for those who need extra height + a dished rest

At last I have found a comfortable chinrest - I have tried many in my search! I need extra height as I have a long neck - for example the SAS models are beautiful and available in a wide range of heights, but the actual rest is quite flat and didn't suit me. The Gotz rest were really beautiful - but just a couple of millimetres too low. So if you have a long neck like me, but want a distinctly 'dished' rest - this might be for you too!

Anscheinend haben die Kunsthandwerker von Gewa den Original Varga Kinnhalter noch überarbeitet. Dieser Halter ist noch bequemer und lässt den Halt der Geige fester erscheinen als beim Original vom Meister Varga, der schon lange nicht mehr lebt. Mit 26 mm der höchste Varga Halter von 3 ausgesuchten Varga Kinnhaltern (Götz, Roth, Gewa). In der Bequemlichkeit haben die drei Kinnhalter keine grossen Unterschiede. Die Auswahl des Holzes ist Geschmackssache gerade bei denjenigen Haltern, die nicht schwarz sind. Das gelieferte GEWA Buchsbaum Model ist leicht grau-mittelbraun mit einer dezenten Zeichnung, die an Wurzelholz erinnert, sehr schön, ästhetisch für mich ein Prunkstück, das sich gut für honiggelbe, goldene, braune Geigen eignet, weniger wohl für rote Geigen. Die Verschraubungen sind leicht und stabil.

valitettavasti metalliset kiinnikkeet eivät ole niin laadukkaita. Ne eivät ole ihan suoria, jolloin niitä joutui jonkin verran taittamaan, jotta istuvuus olisi maksimaalinen.

Elle me convient parfaitement, elle déborde sur le tire-cordes et assure une bonne tenue du violon 4/4, sa couleur et la texture de son bois s'accorde parfaitement avec l'instrument, je suis donc très satisfait
