A good product.

I wanted to try bronze thumb picks to try and get that “Martin Carthy” sound on a couple of pieces and these are simply brilliant for that.

Being metal they will probably last a lifetime…unlike your strings. Coated strings such as Elixir are stripped of their coating after just a few minutes of picking, even uncoated phosphor-bronze strings like EJ16 have a tough life when you use one of these picks…that said, with EJ16 you’ll probably change every couple of weeks if you play a lot so it doesn’t really matter.

What you might want to try is gently sanding the edges with wet & dry paper l to remove the corners, this also softens the sound a little too.

Highly recommended for the right application.

The bronze used to make this pick appears to be B8 (see cymbals) which is about the hardest bronze (but nothing like as hard as nickel-silver). It is a right handed thumb pick only. Size 7 is quite comfortable for me to play with. The sound and feel are excellent and well balanced on zither chords (4 strings).

Gelukkig had ik ook maat 6 duim pick's mee besteld. De nr 7 duim pick was namelijk net te groot, waardoor het gebogen deel aan de andere kant van de pick af en toe achter de snaar ernaast bleef haken.
Bij veelvuldig gebruik laat het bij mij wel een groene waas achter, maar dat is toch iets wat meer bij de ene persoon gebeurt, dan bij de ander... (bij zilver net zo trouwens)
Verder een prima pick, maar dus niet mijn maat.

UNA PUA BUENA Y CONSISTENTE

El número 7 de bronce, es consistente, para punteo es extraordinario con sonido muy pronunciado, aunque con el tiempo el bronce se oscurece,(es un mal menor) son buenas puas y se ajustan bien al dedo. Hay que fijarse en el número de pua, para que tu dedo la recoja perfectamente sin extrangularlo. Las tienes de bronce y de alpaca. Yo particularmente prefiero las de alpaca, ya que se oscurecen muchísimo menos que las de bronce. Lo recomiendo 100%. Thomann nunca falla. Y tienes toda la atención que necesitas.
