I have had two Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gens in less than two years. My first one had faulty USB solder connection leading the device to drop in an out every time I bumped my desk or the audio interface. Thomann being total legends sent me a new one no questions asked.
The second one was a not faulty, but I have had annoying audio issues on four separate computers ever since. Crackling, buzzing, dropping out, robotic feedback the lot. Contacted Focusrite directly, they gave me some demo drivers which helped for a little while, back all the issues came back. They have not offered to take the device in and service it. Communication just fizzled out and now I am left with an expensive red box taking up space on my bookshelf.
I tried full computer reinstalls, different USB cables, lengths, connection points, speeds etc. Different drivers for chipset, graphics, everything. When it worked the audio interface was great, when it did not it was a nightmare.
I bought a UA Volt 2 just to make sure I was not going mad, to make sure the issues were not my computers and I have had zero issues in the last month. I was going to buy the Volt 2 in the beginning, I could have saved myself a whole lot of time and money if I had done just that in the first place.

Ton-Unterbrechungen
Es gibt Tonunterbrechungen in Kombination mit Macbook Pro (Big Sur 11.2.3/ 3.1GHz i7 16GB DDR3).
Ein Ticket bei Focusrite hat leider nichts gebracht. Die Reaktion war eine Standardreaktion, wie z.B. aktualisiere Treiber, versuche Direkt-Monitoring. In meiner Ticketbeschreibung habe ich deutlich erwähnt das ich diese Standardaktionen durchgeführt habe.
Meine Erwartung wäre z.B. gewesen, das ich durch irgendeine Einstellung eine Log-Datei generiere und diese wird vom Hersteller analysiert.
Anscheinend funktioniert das Produkt in anderen Konstellationen .. ist ja sehr beliebt.

Not compatible with AMD CPU
Focusrite interfaces are not comaptible with AMD CPU's, it gives a lot of crackling noise and a lot of other problems with sound. Seems like I'm not the only one having such problems, but unfortunately, there is no fix for that. So if you have an AMD cpu, just buy another interface, before you regret.

Couldnt get sound after 30 mins of installing
I really wanted to love this soundcard as I had a 2i4 gen 2 for many years BUT after 30 mins, I could not get sound out of this card.
To be clear, I have been a hobby producer for 10 years and have had over 7 different audio interfaces through the years and this was the first one that I could not get to work.
On macos mojave, I was able to get the inputs to work but not the outputs. After messing around with drivers, reboots, etc. I just gave up and put it back in the box.
Plugged my Behringer 404hd back in and it worked. Also tested Motu M2, NI Audio 2 and these worked as expected (plug and play in macos). I really wanted to love this card but just had too much trouble.
I saw a few others had the same problem and assumed they did something wrong. I guess I am in that camp now!

Wasn't able to get this to work with the new iPad pro.
I followed the instructions and even contacted support but all it does is turn itself on and off over and over again.
I did of course attach it to a pc first to go through the setup procedure, it seemed to work fine there. But I bought it to be used with an iPad Pro and garage band and it was advertised as compatible.
