Very good pickup
I moved from an LR Bags M1a to this pickup, hoping for a more natural acoustic sound. This certainly achieves that when you hit the right blend balance, more mic means less quack, but unfortunately also means I get a whole lot of drums down the acoustic channel too. I've found a good balance of about 60% Pickup 40% mic which seems to work. Rating 4* as its grip on the guitar body isn't the most stable and it came with flat batteries already installed.

The perfect sound for an acoustic guitar!
After trying many different ways to amplify an acoustic guitar, I found out that this Fishman Rare Earth mic blend, with the 50% pick-up/50% mic, provides the perfect sound on almost any guitar I tried it on!
The only downside is the need to unscrew it to change the batteries.

If I didn't have so many problems with feed back when in a band setting I would have given this a 5 star rating but I can't truly use this pick up to it's true potential unless I have a fantastic sound technician who can equalise the whole band to perfection. Don't get me wrong though, it's a fantastic product.

It could be more narrow !
Very good sound and easy installation the two pickups (pickup and mic) sound well. The blend control and the high-pass filter are effective and ...almost all is OK ... almost because I cannot mount it on one of the two acoustic guitars I have ... In fact one have a smaller 8.5cm sound hole... it seems like the items mounts correctly only on 10cm sound hole ... pity because the mechanic part could be designed with more dimensional margins !!!

flexible and pretty good sound
I use the Blend on several guitars, sometimes together with an Aura preamp. for me, best sounding results are achieved in a blend of 25 to 50% mic. i. e. the mic really supports and improves the recorded sound. nevertheless, in a studio setting i would prefer miking the guitar. on stage, the blend sounds better and delivers more warmth in comparison to a rare earth pickup only. the preamp delivers the required punch i missed in passive pickups. recommended!

Great for the money
Sounds great, but needs a decent preamp with volume and tone control
