Great thumbrest!
Bought this for my Gretsch G2210 (Junior Jet bas I). My bass has the pickup in the middle and i wanted to play closer to the bridge.
What do you get?
You get screws and template for both the P-bass and Jazz bass with suggestion for the original mounting. You simply cut out the template and put it over the pickguard.
Quality and feel?
Its sturdy and sits like rock on mine. Nice to use and offers comfort. The tumbrest is just right for me, not to high and not to low.
So if you are missing a good spot to place the thumb on the bass, this is a good choice!

Not to worry made in USA
I bought this for my Fender Precision Road Worn and fitted perfectly.
For those which do not have the holes in the pickguard, a paper template for both the Fender Jazz and Fender Precision models is included. This will help you to determine where to drill your holes in your pickguard and body.
All in all a quality piece.

SImple product, great for what it is
It is what it is, a thumb rest in plastic, so not much to be evaluated.
It comes with the screws, and easy to mount. I bought it for my Precision classic 50's, so that it gets a more period accuracy look.

Good quality part with a paper template to aid accurate fitting. Cheaper from thomann than anywhere else I could find (if you get free p&p!)

Great addition
Great add on to my reissue bass I recently got. It was an older reissue and didn’t have these parts. Perfect for and great quality.

It's a thumb rest, you can rest your thumb on it! but if you place it below the G srtring you can put your finger under it and play with your thumb, so versatile.

this thumb rest is of good quality and feels valuable but it is indeed huge and bulky.

The real thing
There are cheaper copies of the classic thumbrest available from various vendors, but none of them get the shape right. I have these genuine Fender ones on all of my Fender basses, and they do the job they were designed for.
