Although mechanism for controlling wires in the middle looks little cheap these are decent wires. What I've immediately noticed is increase in volume and pitch. With these wires I need to tune snare lower to sound same as with other wires.

Nice tone but a little fiddly

These wires sound great and give a nice bright thwack to my Gretsch Hand-Hammered brass snare, however I do have to fiddle with the adjustment screw (dont actuallly even know what it is!) in order to stop unwanted after-buzz.
