Sound good, last OK

I tend to go for either these or GHS Bass Boomers.

Decent quality strings - sound tends to go a bit dull after a while so if you like em really bright sounding, then you may be changing them fairly often depending on how you play.

No silks to protect the tuners in case that bothers you.

Otherwise, can't really fault them..

It is quite possible that there are better strings out there, but these have served me well for many years. These strings stay in tune, last long (enough) and are well priced.

Not for me
BobZer0 05.04.2024
I have had these strings on my jazz bass for a while now and I don't like them. At first they were far far to bright and also made a lot of extra noise when playing. Now they have played in they are not as bright or noisy but it's still too much for my taste.

The quality is great as with all EB strings and if you want a very bright sound and don't mind the extra noise they might be good for you.

Cost effective strings

Cost effective strings which you can use in any bass. Sound is good and quality is ok. It is hard to cut these with playing too much. Ernie Ball is always a good choice.
