Average sound
I needed strings for bringing my guitar to a Drop C tuning. My first try were the Earnie Ball "not even slinky" strings. I am playing Earnie Ball Strings on all my guitars so i was looking forward for a great tone. However I was not as satisfied as usual. The strings maybe are a bit too thick for a Drop C (I had to adjust the neck after putting the strings on!). Furthermore the strings were hardly fitting in the nut. After setting the neck i tried some dry playing. Sounded okay to me. Some playing through my amp was sounding better. There the sound has a lot of bass und was really punchy. Except one thing: The G String. All the other strings sound good, but the G String is really sounding poor. The string is only swinging for two or three seconds. Maybe it is because the string is a (thick) 24 plain string. If you play chords it is not really conspicious. But if you play single notes it is really annoying. Does not matter if played with amp or without, the G String is really crappy. Concerning the other strings i think this is not more than a three star rating.

Dull sounding strings
The strings are durable but I find that the sound is incredibly dull, even when compared with other stringsets of a similarly thick gauge. Additionally the g-string is weirdly thick compared to the rest of the set and does not sound great. Tuning stability is fine though and they are quite durable.

Metallic sound, full of bass, string 24p sound and looks like from different set- I don't like it. Good for lower tunings and shorter scale guitars. Definitely not my taste.

too tight
bought these to install on my Jackson RR3 in Drop B tuning. Bottom string seem ok, but lightest ones, especially 3rd string is an absolute nightmare, its tension is waaaaay too heavy, but if u go below drop B, then bottom strings become loose. Very unbalanced set of strings + the sound become mushy after 3-4 days of use.
