A word of caution or heads up with Pico modules is, they are all 3HP wide, which means it's always better to buy them in pairs to get even HP-numbers to work with in your rack. Otherwise you may end up with uneven holes you can't fill.

Great way of generating melodies from arbitrary voltage sources. Comes with stock scales are that use C as the root note, but you can always tune your oscillators to get into other keys, and of course, with the web editor, you can put whatever scales you want on it, including quarter tone scales! Pairs nicely with an attenuvertor (such as the Befaco attenuvertor) to control the range of your arpeggio. LFO is perfect as voltage source, or even an LFO going through a wave folder, for more exotic sequences. This module also has glide, which is another nice touch. Erica Synths Pico modules are some of the best ones in this range, in terms of functionality, size, and price. Very satisifed!

Der Erica Synths Pico Quantisierer fällt als erstes durch seinen kleinen Fußabdruck auf, neben meinen Doepfer Modulen geht er völlig unter.

Die Ins/Outs erklären sich von selber, Glide und Tolerance sind praktische Live Regler. Das Quant bietet 8 Speicherplätze, die ab Werk mit Skalen belegt sind, die ich als sinnvoll empfinde. Leider gibt es keine standalone Software dafür, das Browser basierte System funktioniert aber auch.

Ich nutze ihn primär dazu, den Sequencer des Mogg DFAM musikalisch spielbar zu machen. Das klappt auch sehr gut. Allerdings ist es für mich gelegentlich unklar, auf welchen Grundton der Quant die Skalen bezieht, da sich bei manchen der Werksskalen der "subjektive" Grundton ändert. Ich vermute hier bis jetzt den User als Fehlerquelle.

Im Vergleich zum Doepfer A-156 Quantisierer bietet der Quant Speicherplätze für frei programmierbare Skalen, die auch Vierteltonschritte beinhalten können. Das kann der Doepfer nicht. Was mir am Doepfer allerdings besser gefällt, sind die Dipswitches, über die man schnell zwischen Chromatisch, Dur, Moll, Quinte, Sexte und Septime wählen kann, was ihn für mich Live tauglicher macht. Dagegen ist es beim Erica Synths schwer (gemeint ist gar nicht) zu realisieren, beispielsweise von Skala 7 auf Skala 6 zu wechseln.

Le Pico Quant d'Erica synth est un bon quantizer. Il permet de sonner juste sans trop se soucier d'accorder son oscillateur. Les différents modes (scales) proposés offre des options très agréables et il y a la possibilité de créer son propre mode. Je viens du monde de la basse, pour moi sonner juste est important et si vous n'avez pas d'accordeur il peut vous aider à accorder un second oscillateur à l'oreille.
Je le recommande. Erica synth est une bonne marque dans l'ensemble.
