Long Red
First epiphone i have ever bought, first epiphone i've played, first time ive ever slapped a thunderbird. Its pretty awesome.... but its very pretty.
quality is great, setup out of the box needed some minor tweaking but is otherwise solid. finish is flawless, fretwork is great, the neck is a very nice comfortable thicc jazz type. two piece bridge is a must for a T-bird, the construction is visible (barely through the paint) but you know its there.
The headstock is massive. so massive it looks like eric stoltz. but its great in its massiveness. it wont fit on my guitar rack is so long and red and shiny. the mrs would be pleased
the sound is what it is. it doesnt reinvent the wheel but it does what it does with its own character and thats enough for this bass. its probably supposed to be worn on a strap as long as the equator and played with a pick - bootsy doesnt sound bad - but it offended my sensibilities even attempting it on this.
all in all its great, and a decent 'bargain' in this economy at this price. too bad gibson came out with that awful revamped T-bird after this thing. buy this and save some money. its just more better
