Monster distorion pedal
I am a simple man. I play heavy metal. I need my sound to be heavy and a boost for the solos with a bit different tone. I do not need a million effects or a complex multieffect.
Empress Effects Heavy does the job in a very simple but also effective way.
Pros:
- Easy to configure and get your sound in a few minutes.
- Plenty of options in order to achieve the above.
- Sounds amazing. The sound is full. No noise even on high gain settings.
- It is a great construction. Compact but the two channel buttons are far enough so you will not accidentally press the wrong switch.
Cons:
- No power adapter was shipped, but you can get one from the local shop in a really low price.
Conclusion:
Worths every cent/penny :)

I use this pedal for metal and it is very good. There is a lot of sound combination. You can dial a sound whatever you like.

Brilliant overdrive with sweet modern Metal tones
I've been eyeing this pedal for ages and glad I finally pulled the plug on it - absolutely fat tones, super powerful EQ which makes it really versatile, and the gate is perfectly dialled in. It's also smaller than I thought, which is a plus - not so small that it's impractical, just right - and of course, as it's made by Empress, it's going to be a top quality build, and with great customer service.

awesome
really enjoy this pedal, has a lot of power and a lot of options to adjust your sound.
thought i could use channel 2 as a kind of boost but didn’t manage to get that part right. i find that you will mainly use the channels to make a different sound. channel 2 is more compressed (in my opinion) as it has more distortion built in. more fit for heavier stuff.
i find myself mainly using channel 1 at the moment.
