EMG 35TW-X

I've bought this to install in a precision fretless, and I've put it in MM position, with a new pickguard, now it looks like G&L kiloton. The pickup is powerful, and single coil mode is cool to get more like a 60s position jazz bass single coil pickup.

I've got two six string versions - EMG 45TWX, and they sound brutal. I don't use any preamp either bass. For 6 string it's VVT for fretless it's just volume. That's enough versatile for me, and if I do need an EQ I use it on HX stomp, so I can save the EQ presets as well, no need to fine tune every time.

My search for perfect pickup is done with this one, I'm happy with it and don't need anything else. For P and J basses I do have Wilde P-46 and J-45 which I recommend.

The only con for 35TWX is that it's 10€ more expensive than 5 and 6 string versions, for I don't know what reason...
