Good hub - but where's the PSU?
The hub itself is fantastic - even without a PSU it delivers full speed and no issues. I love the fact that all ports are on one side compared to 99% of USB 3 hubs out there, which is great for my use, velcroed to the top of my keys/tracks rack for easy plugging.
But naturally it can only power that much before you need a PSU. And they don't sell one themselves. Additionally, the size of the DC port is smaller than most plugs on PSU with those power specifications. You can get hold of one, but you have to do a bit of research to make sure that the polarity is correct.
I have since upgraded my computer, and a new hub for other peripherals, so this sits as a non-PSU-powered extra 7 ports if I need them. I've had all 7 ports filled, connected to equipment that don't need bus power, and had no issues whatsoever. So I'll only draw one star for not offering a simple solution to power their own hub

Simple and solid operation -- even on bus power
I have been using the unit for several weeks. So far no drop outs or other problems. I like the option of being able to power the unit up and have bought an appropriate PSU from Amazon. But, I have only used a couple of times and saw that there was no need. The unit is able to deal with multiple inputs, including MIDI controllers. Why four stars? Well, ... the PSU is not included. (Not sure why Thomann does not sell a compatible unit, btw).

Very Useful
I use the overhub to connect Digitakt and Digitone to a single USB port. Works well with very minor dropouts that occur only when I have other stuff connected on the hub.
The build quality is fine although the ports seem a bit flimsy.
For that price it would be only fair to have an external power supply included.

Works
It works but....
- The stock USB 3.0 cable made my computer (Mac mini 2018 / Catalina) behave super weird. The mouse and bluetooth stopped working when it was connected. I tried another USB 3.0 cable (I took a spare one from an external hard drive) and then it worked fine!
- I've found a compatible power supply on amazon. Works nicely.

Wish the quality was better
This Overbridge hub is amazing for both elektron devices and any other thing you might need to connect. Sadly the USB connector got loose after little use and now it disconnects randomly

Something you need when using elektron gear together with other gear.
Was experiencing extreme delays with an Ableton push 2 in combination with an Elektron analog four. So after some searching, I found out that an MTT USB hub was required.
Of the first Overhub from Elektron, I only heard and saw negative reviews about the chassis being very fragile. So I tried to find some other MTT USB hubs. I couldn't find anything. There is almost no other company (that I could find) who makes MTT USB hubs. So finally I got to this version of the overhub and I ordered it.
It works as expected. The delay with the push 2 and analog four I was describing earlier is gone. I still think it is a bit much to ask for a USB hub... A power supply does not come in the box. USB power was enough for this situation.

Decent USB hub
Build quality is great but I did have some issues with the unit periodically becoming unresponsive where I need to unplug the power source and then plug it back in. I bought it initially to use with my laptop as I needed additional usb slots for my hardware. Previously, I was using a D-Link 7 port usb hub with the option to use it unpowered which served me well for many years and was substantially cheaper than this one. If you have no need for overbridge, there are much affordable options that do the same job.

Good and solid hub but could have come with the power supply for that price.

Perfect for Elektron users
This hub makes Overbridge work for my Digitakt and Digitone and the plug-in integration is worth it! On top, it doubles as a hi-speed USB interface for all my other gear and so far it hasn't required a power supply. A shame Elektron don't give you one though and that's the only reason for 1 star less than perfect.

Best hub out there, unfortunately without power adapter
Best hub out there, fast, sturdy, good looking, and reliable.
But...
It comes without power supply unit. And PSU for Overhub not an easy one to find. And if devices you're using are draining a lot of power you'll need one.
