Great tone!
Valance 05.05.2017
This brass slide produces quite a darker and deeper tone compared to the regular ones -- a perfect accompaniment for anyone willing to play a lot of delta blues. In terms of weight, this is definitely a heavier one when compared to steel slides. I very much prefer the tone produced by this brass slide to the steel ones.

There is a warning on the package which reads: "WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm." I was at first really worried when I saw that warning but after a lot of online research, I found out that this is not something to really freak out about. The state of California seems to have really strict laws when it comes to such stuff and it seems that even very small and safe amounts of certain elements in some products qualify to get such a warning.

If you are really worried about the warning, then consider reading the following response directly from DUNLOP customer service (this reply was posted originally on Harmony Central forum)

"The warning label was put on the package in to comply with California Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. The Proposition was intended by its authors to protect California citizens and the State's drinking water sources from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and to inform citizens about exposures to such chemicals. The current list of chemicals is 21 pages long, so don't be surprised if you see these warnings on more products and work places.

The 222 slide has the warning because there are small amounts of lead in the metal.
According to Prop 65, the daily legal limit of lead content taken orally is .50 micrograms.

The 222 slide has tested at .99 micrograms of lead.

Because the test came in higher than the limit, even though we don't believe that people are licking our slides, we felt it best to put the warning on the product.

If you need more information on Proposition 65 () or cancer and lead ( feel free to check out these sites for more information.

We are always here if you have questions or concerns.

Thanks so much for contacting us and letting us explain further."

Feels comfortable enough and its not hard to play with it. It is a good solid Dunlop brass slide for the price. Produces a lean, bright and resonant tone! It has a comfortable weight and good sustain. I recommend it for everyone who likes Slide Guitar.

Good slide
ASasu 27.10.2020
The slide itself is great, the sound is what you'd expect from a brass slide and It's reasonably comfortable, having no hard edges. The only down side, for me, is that it's a bit too wide for my fingers, so I can't wear it quite the way I'd want to. That's obviously no fault of the slide, it's just a heads up if you have skinny fingers, it might be a bit too loose.

its perfect quality very strong material it could take a lot of scratches. Although it's a bit thick so it doesnt work very well with my jackson which has really low action. Works great on my acoustic though.

Great tone, very comfortable
SubdivisionsX1 21.12.2020
Sits very nicely on the ring finger, tone is full and rich (now prefer it to glass slides), the plastic inside is a nice touch. Can recommend if you're just looking to get into slides or you're tired of glass ones breaking all the time

My favorite!
J Hoeven 02.05.2022
I have chromed steel, glass and brass slides from Dunlop, and they are all excellent quality. Each type has a sound of it's own, my favorite being this brass one (especially with electric guitar), though they are all very well made. I highly recommend Dunlop slides, and all of mine get used.

Nice, hefty, knuckle duster of a slide. Good ringing tone produced with Bronze strings. Recommend. Won't wear out in a hurry.

Bought it in order to learn slide guitar. Like the metal, size (smaller hands), polish. And most of all like the sound.

Dunlop 222 Brass Slide
Anonymous 27.01.2016
Another great slide, but only suitable for pinky finger really. It is long enough to cover all six strings at once, has a good weight and sounds great on both acoustic and electric guitars.
