A
smart bow

I am no bow expert, and have only just switched to German style from French, for reasons of less shoulder tension. I chose this model as I figure the more I can afford, the more room for my improvement without limitations from the bow. Of course this is not really expensive for a bow, but then I'm only amateur.

The bow looks very elegant, and seems to be well crafted. The stick is straight, the frog comfortable and well-aligned, and the hair is good after a liberal first rosin.

It is stamped with the name G. Werner, I am not sure of the relevance of this to the Dorfler company.

Anyway, after rosining up, the bow seems to be playable and the sound is musical, I feel that my skill is more a limiting factor than the bow, so that's positive.

Happy to continue my learning the German bow with this.

r
The best in its price range

I tried it along with the Gewa pernambuco and the Zapf in the same price range.
It hops a bit more than the others and gives a warm dark sound.
Among the three I would have chosen this but then I tried a Zapf which was a bit more expensive and settled onto that.
But in its price range I think it is the best.
Don`t be fooled by the fact that it is not pernambuco. It is a great bow for the price
