an awesome performance control
I added this to my system when I needed an offset control and found it had more features and more uses than expected. I suppose this is the nature of modular synthesis, that you can do the same thing in different ways and if you approch it with an open mind every module can be used for more than it's basic intention.
I often use this as a performance control for adding vibrato to oscillators. As there is a mini mult on the output the signal can be easily routed to two places (saving precious multiples for other signal in the patch). I particularly enjoy the polarising function as a performance control. Route an envelope through it and twiddle while a sequence plays ...I can waste hours doing that!
A utility that I think every system needs ...even if you don't think you do! And it only takes up 4HP. great

One of the best utility modules around. It is an offset, an attenuator, an inverter, a multiple. Cheap, only 4 hp and build quality is super!

Doepfer offset generator
This is one those essential modules which make a modular synthesiser so much more flexible. You can use it to change the scaling of an oscillator, shift levels in an envelope and many other things. It should be an essential purchase.

Very useful module
Used so far to send a bipolar LFO output to the filter cutoff and also to the VCA CV using the offset function. This brings the LFO wave up above the zero volt level and ensures that the VCA never cuts off completely which it would everytime the wave went below zero volts.
Not used the polariser (Attenuverter) mode yet, but no doubt will.

Must have module in every rack. Smooth potentiometers, solid jacks, small print and decent build.
