FS 3X with DOD Rubberneck Delay
jeredog 24.02.2020
Solid build, firm switches. I use this as an external control foot switch with DOD Rubberneck Delay, connected via the provided TRS-cable.

There's 3 switches for 3 controls;

1. Left switch engages the rubbernecking feature of the delay (doubles or halves the delay repeats + control for the speed of the change). With this external foot switch there's no delay when engaging the rubbernecking effect, as opposed to without the FS 3X.

2. The middle switch acts as an on/off switch for the modulation of the delay repeats. This is handy as it lets you "save" the modulation settings and just switch the modulation on and off. Without the foot switch modulation is turned off by setting the controls counterclockwise

3. The right switch controls the delay regeneration feature of the Rubberneck and acts as a tap tempo, similarly as in the delay pedal itself.

Only downside I've come to find is that the FS 3X doesn't register multiple switch presses. In the Rubberneck you can use both the regen & rubbernecking simultaneously when pressing down on both switches, something that doesn't work with FS 3X.

Overall I'd say this is a great choice for people looking to have some extra control on the DOD Rubberneck.

Beats bending down

This is a nice little addition to a whole range of Digitech pedals. Unfortunately Digitech themselves aren't too clear on what it can and can't be used on but my specific use for it was for the Whammy DT which when connected allows me to scroll between the different settings. Pressing the 'mode' switch allows me to switch between the Whammy and Detune functions each side of the pedal while the 'up' and 'down' switch obviously lets me scroll between each setting within that mode/function.

One small thing that annoys me is the length of the cable that comes with it. Like most other pedals used with this footswitch you will most likely need to be near the actual pedal to see the setting you want so why they felt the need to include a 3m cable eludes me. I bought a much shorter TRS cable to make it more pedalboard friendly.

While it's a nice addition I can't help but be annoyed at Digitech for not just using a button instead of a dial to navigate through the different settings on the pedal in the first place. Then again when you have people like me willing to fork out an extra ¤26 for the footswitch I guess you can see why.....

Seeked a budget preset switch and found it...
Anonymous 12.01.2017
Most will buy this for switching their Digitech rack or pedals but I took a chance on using it for my Roland GP-100 as a preset changer. Guess what? it worked.

I've been setting up a bedroom studio and wanted something affordable to switch between presets on the above mentioned guitar processor just for playing around. So I connected the cable (That is inclued) and tweaked the settings in the foot switch section of the GP-100.

The way I found it worked was by using the mode switch as the preset down button and the down switch as the preset up button (I have your attention now :-}). Roland and Beyerdynamic have great foot controlers that I could use but I don't know yet if I'll be using this set up in a live situation so the Digitech FS 3X was and is a good place to start.
It's a solid made piece of build made out of steel which will be needed for any rocker's big leather stomping boots. The inclued foot switch cable is alot to be desired and made of cheap plastic but is fine for my bedroom needs. If it's to be used live for gig's I'd recommend a more sturdy cable.

Not much to say really, it's a footswitch and does what it should, although the buttons are a little stiff to use in bare feet.

Handy extension for the digitech trio+
Mries 21.12.2020
As guitar players have not much freedom with their hands, and the Trio+ best works for me on the desk, this footswitch is a very welcome extension, to be able to start / stop recordings or playing or selection of an other track with the foot.
Though start recording based on the start of playing is possible with the Trio+, still this is a nice extra tool to simplify the process to create a song.

Woks as it should it just feels a little bit lightweight. I am sure I am going to have to repair it in the future.

Essential
Fender69 06.02.2020
The footswitch is nearly an essential add on.
there are so many options on the amp that changing them mid song is not possible without this.
Sturdy and simple, but sometimes "hangs" in its communication with the amp.
Long cable which means it can be located away from the amp.

Excellent footswitch
Bojack8108 08.12.2019
This works very well with the Digitech trio Plus pedal. switches are decent and provide seamless switching. Built quality is good for the unit I have. Only concern I have is with the weight. I would have preferred it to be a bit heavier.
