I own about 20 cristal bowls mallets and this is my favourite one! I use it mainly to make drones. It is very comfortable in the hands and the sounds come much more clear. Because of its weight, it is also perfect for hitting the bowls. I thought it was going to get dirty very soon because of the material, but it looks pretty clean after a month of use. The design also is very nice!

creates a nice sound, just over time the silicone becomes hard and no longer slides evenly across the bowls

Very good for a 11-12 inches and bigger bowl. Comparing to others chipper silicon rubbers, that one is very smooth, giving a most beautifully sound and you can't hear that rustling sound when you sing the bowl. And it is nice feeling when hold it in your hand.
