Perfect Companion to My Prime 4+

I own the Prime 4+, and the Prime GO+ is the perfect portable backup. Same pro-quality sound and features in a compact, battery-powered format. Great for small gigs, travel, or prep sessions on the go.

Decent hardware, poor software

The unit is overall well built. The faders feel cheap (especially the cross fader). The screen is of a good size, but not as responsive as reviews had me believe. Overall the hardware is decent for the price in my view. A digital out would have been good for the price.

However, the software is the major let down for me. The basic functionality of navigating around the tracks, cue points, jumping to the the start of a track etc is convoluted. In hindsight, I should have tested the software before buying; I thought "it can't be that bad". I will have to use this device for now (reluctantly), but I will look into other more industry-standard solutions/products on the first upgrade opportunity and certainly not Denon/Engine DJ.

Really great standalone. I'm not 100% keen on the weird layout, but it does everything you need it to and is super portable, so no complaints really.

I think this was a very solid investment for a absolute beginner and aspiring DJ to get into the game. It has huge headroom to grow into and pro level features. I really like the fact that it is portable enough to take with me basically everywhere.
