The mouthpiece for brass band section playing
I came late to brass band music but have had a lot of other musical experience. This is the third mouthpiece I have used as a cornet player. I will not be trying a third. It plays well through the range and produces a firm and full sound. I find I can also play jazz with this mouthpiece. The technique is rather different from the brass band approach but this mouthpiece manages both easily enough. My jazz playing is very idiomatic which the brass playing must not be. I am very happy with this mouthpiece.
Thomann's price is very competitive. Delivery, packaging etc were all very good. I have bought from Thomann before and will do so again.

Nice quality mouthpiece
i was using a Denis Wick 4 but wanted something a bit shallower, I have been using the 4B for nearly a week now and I think it's the one I was looking for. I prefer the silver plate as I found the plating on the DW gold mouthpieces could wear quite quickly. I also have a silver plated cornet.

Currently, rare as hens teeth
This is the mouthpiece I would recommend to any beginner and also a regular band player. It's the one that is most likely to blend in melodically speaking.
