Classic euphonium mouthpiece

I first started blowing on a Denis Wick 4AL on a Boosey & Hawkes (as then, now Besson) euphonium. That mouthpiece is still with me but looking worse for wear so when I came back to blowing again after a couple of decades off I wanted to carry a standby old faithful with me I decided to get a new 4AL in silver. It works well with my Besson Prestige but I think it can get a little harsh if pushed hard compared to the Denis Wick SM3X which is my current main choice. Still a great mouthpiece though and if you were stuck for a starting point when progressing to a large bore euphonium it remains a good pick and at a very accessible price, despite the plethora of alternatives now available.

Super Mundstück!

Bin von einem 6 1/2 A Mundstück auf dieses gewechselt und nutze es am Euphonium und Bariton. Ich konnte dadurch über mehrere Monate meinen Ton gut weiterentwickeln. Das tiefe Register spricht sehr gut an, hohes Register wird etwas anspruchsvoller. In allen Tonlagen ist der Ton sauber und voll. Auch bei großen Luftmengen fängt er nicht an zu schmettern.
Im Gegenzug brauche ich im Vergleich zu vorher aber auch etwas mehr Luft.
Für mich hat dieses Mundstück eine super Verbesserung meines Spielens und des Instruments bedeutet.
Die Verarbeitung ist zudem super und es sieht auch toll aus.

Une valeur sûre

Utilisée avec mon euphonium (neo642) depuis des années, même après avoir utilisé la SM4X, je finis toujours par y revenir. Plus de profondeur dans le son, et elle correspond visiblement bien à mon profil.
Dans cette taille d'embouchure, c'est une référence.
