I'm a very light player, however I do play quite a lot.
My acoustic is tuned down to D G C F A D, so naturally the heavier bottom gives me that rich and thick sound im looking for. Ive tried Elixir nanoweb and polyweb ... and they do tend to last longer... however i do not feel the sound is nearly as good as the Daddario XT.
So far this is my favorite set for the acoustic guitar, but the sound doesn't last for as long as I wish it would. This set likes to rust quite quickly as well.. even after being cleaned after every use.
So it really is a matter of sacrificing your tone over the amount of time your set may last.
I choose tone personally.

I am a bid D'Addario fan and wanted to try these out. they sound and feel great! I switched after these to try others but as soon as I run out of backup pairs I am going back to these by far my favorites.

Nach langem mal wieder etwas neues ausprobiert. Über den Klang war ich anfänglich sehr positiv überrascht. Allerdings war dies nach ca. nach einer Woche auch schon wieder vorbei. Die tiefe E-Saite klang schnell sehr stumpf, die B-Saite schnarrte ur plötzlich von heute auf morgen. Schade, nach einem anfänglichem guten Sound musste der Satz leider nach wenigen Tagen wieder einem neuen (anderem) Satz weichen.

Wahnsinnig guter, klarer Klang. Da ich auch die 16er Saiten gewohnt bin, lassen sich die 12er wie Butter spielen.
Bin sehr zufrieden, ist zwar schon ein stolzer Preis und mal sehen, wie lange sie so gut klingen.
