Daddario EXL220-5

I have been using these strings for one of my basses for years. They have a nice bright sound with a good mid-range presence, making them very useful for cutting through a mix.

The low-end suffers slightly for this, but this isn't a major concern for my purposes, as my bass requires a bit of taming in this range anyway.

I will continue to use these I imagine, due to their affordability and quality, and the fact that they last well too!

For their price, very good strings.
Sound is really bright. and feels good when you play.
They don't last too long, though so you will have to change them pretty often.

These lasted a very long time for daddarios. Bright in the beginning and reasonably bright at the end. I had them on a bad bass so cant speak to tuning etc.

Very good strings, a little too tight for playing in drop C but very nice sound
