Does its job
This is a neat addition to your collection of maintenance-equipment. Its very cheap, and a small investment that will make your life easier when your done changing strings or have a floating bridge that requires the ends of the strings to be clipped off. No need to be lazy and keep your strings uncut at the headstock with this tool!
Qualitywise I have nothing to complain about. This cutter serves one purpose and it does it well regardless of gauge. Very good to have one and you know it is too!

well, it cuts a 125 like a champ.
I'm pretty happy with it, solid construction and decent looking, after breaking off a side of my modeling side cutter on a low B, I had to get sth stronger, now that I've used it, it seems like a product that's gonna hold up, but only time will tell.

String cutting has never been more fun
I change my guitars strings daily just so I can use these cutters, and once I'm done, I cut each string into minute, little pieces. The A string has the best snap and snip satisfaction of all other strings with these cutters. The only reason I continue to play guitar is so I can snip the strings. I may even start playing bass just so I can change things up a bit. We'll see. Thank you, GrooveTech!

Brilliant! ?
I've slowly been starting to play in lower turnings, with that comes higher guage strings and with that comes more strain trying to cut the strings with cutters which aren't even meant for guitar strings.
While order my new guitar and a pack of 70 guage strings, i need new cutters. These do the job so well, cut through 70s like butter.
Great product definitely worth the money.

Perfect for its use, one minor problem
This is a great wire cutter than cuts all the different lengths and guauges of wires without a problem:
Test on:
- Ernie Ball Standard
- Ernie Ball Beefy
- Ernie Ball Standard Cobalt
It cuts the higher gauge strings without a problem and after a year use they have yet to become blunt or loose the cutting ability. Some minor rust maybe appears on the side but that is no problem to me.
The only major problem i do have is the spring in the middle, it can fall out (it hurts when you stand on it too...) so yeah it can fall out, putting it back in is fine and easy enough but it keeps falling out and becomes a little harder to use.
Other than that small problem, they are great to use, sturdy, strong and will built taking into consideration that spring.

Good quality tool
Very durable tool. The blades are very hard. The quality of the tool is excellent. It cuts every strings with no pressure at all. Compared to common wire cutters, this one is equally sharp but gives you very clear cuts.

Good tool and great price
This string cutter makes it easy to cut even the thicker gauge strings on an electric guitar, yet it's small and lightweight. Can't say anything about its durability as I've only owned it for a few weeks. This item is often recommended and, at least in Germany, it's cheaper from Thomann, so buy it here.

Fantastic!
I had always used regular wire cutters to cut my strings because I didn't know there were special tools for that. As soon as I tried this cutter, I realized what I've been missing. It cuts strings like butter and I don't have to wrestle with the bass strings anymore. It is comfortable to use and appears to be well made. A great investment for any guitarist/bassist.
