Gets stiffer over time

I built a load of microphone lines with this cable a few years ago. It's very easy cable to work on. The rubber trims easily and makes it easy to prep everything.

For the first season, it all worked well. Coiled up nicely, and felt nice and loose. But after about a year of use, I started to notice it getting stiffer. It seems to have settled now, but it's not as loose as it once was. It still coils well, but when you unravel it, it doesn't come open as easily as some other cable brands. Not a huge deal, but a little irritating. I'm gradually transitioning my stock to other cable makes instead.

This cable does its job all right. I own tons of XLR cables made out of this. Nothing to complain about.

I have soldered more than 20 Xlr and jack (balanced and unbalanced) cables till now. It works fine.
No problem until now.
I didn't try it for more than 10 meters yet, so i don't know if there is any noise. It does the job, i suggest it

It's an okay mic-cable for short-term use. It's quite sensitive to handling and bending, so you have to coil it properly to make it stay straight.
But that's why sommer cable costs twice as much :)

However, I haven't had any issues with the cables so far, so it seems to be very good value for money!
