WEIRD SOLDERING TIP+RING. NOT For Modular synth use.
I bought two of this cables for connecting a eurorack system to an audio interface. In this cable the tip AND the ring of the minijack end are coupled together to the tip of the 1/4" jack. Since one side is TS (mono) and the other is TRS (stereo) the connection should be Tip to Tip and Sleeve to Ring+Sleeve. When using this cable on a modular synth (with mono jack sockets) a shortcut happens between tip and ground, and no audio reaches the interface end.
This tip-ring coupling wasn't specified anywhere, and (for what I've seen so far) is NOT the standard rule for mono cables, since mono jack sockets (1/8" or 1/4") will ground the ring connection.
This main issue aside, the materials seem to be of good quality.

Terrible and inconsistent
I got this cable as a work around to always having to carry a great number of adapters.
It lasted less than a year, with the connection on the Mini Jack side breaking contact, hissing and finally not passing through any sort of audio signal.
I took it apart to figure out what had happened.
Turns out the connections are as flimsy as they come, with just about 2 strands of thin wire making up the connection. The Mini Jack side of the wire broke off.
Impossible for me to actually repair as the wires are just too thin, it is now useless and a complete waste of money.

Odd cable, easily wrong
I needed a bit longer mono cable, mini to normal jack and ordered this. It did not work for me because stereo channels were soldered together. That means if you plug it into mini mono plug, the signal will be grounded. So, no luck.
I am even not sure what what would be the application for this cable. Usually you do not sum left and right just by connecting them together... at least the catalog should clearly state what is connected to what.
Anyway, I am a bit of a handyman, so I got my soldering iron and ventured into modifying the cable. What I needed to do is to unsolder the middle terminal from signal and solder it to the ground. Unfortunately, the mini jack plastic is of bad quality so the insulation melted, and the shaft became wobbly. Scrapped it as unusable.
I am even not sure what what would be the application for this cable. Usually you do not sum left and right just by connecting them together... at least the catalog should clearly state what is connected to what.
