This pre-amp does what it does. I use it with a Seymour Duncan Woody XL. Silent, not to hard, maybe even a bit "sluggish".
But it's a Boss. Little to complaint about. It even comes with a battery, so there is no reason not to work it as soon as it comes in.
Good thing when you need that little extra for recording as well as in a live setting.

It's BOSS pedal so built like a tank and a bit heavy on bettry use.
It does a great job in making an amplified acoustic sound more accoustic. I tend to use it either for fingerstyle blues or for strummed rock parts. Both in bands. Works well in both and creates a sound that sits nicely in the mix.
