This is an essential tool for any brass teacher who has either individual or large group brass classes. Children always get their mouthpieces stuck by bashing them in to the lead pipe. The Bobcat is an easy to use tool to extract them and is also small and easily stored with my teaching kit. It works on ALL brass instruments and is a very worthwhile investment even if a little pricey to purchase! It has saved numerous bent or broken lead pipes and stays and will continue to do so.

Good quality puller
Hrossey 13.04.2016
This is a resonably priced but decent quality puller. It is quite easy to use but effective. I ordered it to remove a stuck mouthpiece from a trumpet, it did this quickly and effectivley. I now have it on hand for the next occasion when I have a stuck mouthpiece!

Great tool !
Violin man 2 14.04.2025
I've got a collection of some 60 historical bugles and trumpets (without pistons). Wen you purchase these old instruments, it's inevitably that a high percentage of these have stuck mouthpieces.
With this instrument, they all came out without any problem.
The only thing is: take your time to position the "teeth" carefully and judisciously and fasten them before you begin to pull.
This is very important because you could otherwise damage the ridge on which the puller is pushing back.
But if you do that carefully, it works like a charm.
Highly recommendable tool !
