Behringer 369-KT

I have it for four days now and really love this one already.
Used it on the drum-bus and smacks it really tasteful on there.
Did seven mixes with it on the mix-bus and for the rock genre songs I tried it out on it works marveously well. It sounds awesome to me, highly recommended for 'that' sound. Freaking great job Behringer !

Three stars for the control because the threshold pots are really a problem, they turn way too tight. I'll be careful with those and hope they last, Behringer definitely needs to solve those but other then that the sound is amazing and that's what counts to me.

If you're hesitating to buy one I would say just get it if you want a 33609 style compressor, this does the job really really well !

I pre-ordered the 1273 as well, I mainly decided it on the transformers which sound really good to my ears.

I had seen great reviews on YouTube and wanted to try it out in my studio. I used it immediately on mix I did for TV and it did just what I wanted, glued the mix together and lifted it up with some nice transformer touch.

The build quality overall is okay, it looks nice and the metering is spot on. BUT the knobs are terrible. One of them was broken when I took it out of the box, and I fear that all of them will eventually brake. I suggest you get some better knobs of amazon or 3d print your own like I did.

All in all it's a great sounding piece of gear and although it has the word Behringer written on it, I'd still suggest you'd give it a go!

First the negative. The potentiometer knobs are cheap, but this is really a minor issue as you can replace them with better ones for cheap.
Quality wise everything else is very good.
Regarding the sound.
You can really push it compared to any compression plugin and it glues a lot nicer. Saturation when pushed is very nice. It brings the source forward and at the same time it gives you a more polished sound.
I have seen a dozen videos on YT but most did not really showcase how much this thing can be pushed.
The crazy thing is that it can really give you that clean yet gritty 80s/early 90s sound, especially on percussion and drums, more rounded, kind of tape-ish sound of the records in that era.
Brilliant on drums, overheads, guitars, synths etc.
Insane value for what you get here.
