This is my ?spare? MP, it?s a great mouthpiece but dies add weight which I don?t like. I play on a normal 1g so this does produce a more powerful sound and it can take more air before it distorts.

Tout est parfait.
Du très gros son quand on le souhaite, plus rond aussi.
Un accès très aisé aux graves et notes pédales.
Les aigus sont plus délicats vu le grain mais tout se travaille sur un trombone basse.
Cependant, les caractéristiques en font une embouchure exigeante, ce n'est pas du standard, elle reste adaptées aux instrumentistes d'un certain niveau.

Bisher nutzte ich das Douglas Yeo an meiner B/Ges/F/D-Bach-Bassposaune mit Hagmannventilen. Das hatte im Bereich des Doppelventils (großes C, Kontra-H, Kontra-B mit beiden Ventilen) sowie in der Höhe (ab f') leichte Schwächen, die ich aber verschmerzen konnte. Auch die Ansprache bei Kontra-F und tiefer war nicht ganz leicht.
Das Bach 1G Mega Tone hat diese Schwächen nicht. Es klingt rund, voll, tief, eben nach einer Bassposaune, in meinem Fall oft Ersatz für eine Tuba. Die hohen Lagen lassen sich sehr gut kontrollieren, sprechen sofort an und klingen noch nach Posaune (beim Douglas Yeo eher nach Horn – sehr weich und tendenziell unklar). Die Klangfülle in den tiefen Lagen sucht ihresgleichen. Der Ton bricht nicht aus wie beim 1 G ohne Mega Tone, sondern bleibt kräftig, jedoch ohne zu schmettern. Dennoch ist viel Kraft hinter den Tönen.
Fazit: Ich bin begeistert. Für mich und meine Zwecke das beste Mundstück, das ich bisher getestet habe.
