Roof mounted lights without issues

A great solution for mounting lights in common drop ceilings.

We use it in our office and on location. It's fast and works really great. Would recommend safety wire, definitely if people will move underneath. That said we've never had one fail on us. A perfect solution for putting backlighting right behind subjects.

+ Get rid of light stands and get more floor space
+ Quick setup and tear down on set
+ No more light stands on camera
- I wouldn't trust it with too heavy lights
- Requires a space with a drop ceiling (very common in offices and commercial buildings though)

Exceptional item, convenient when filming indoors on locations with dropped ceiling. Clamp sits perfect into the angled profile that holds the tiles of the dropped ceiling. Hanging a small fixture such as led spotlights is done in seconds and avoids a lot of rigging.
