not for fade in notes combined with the delay
NikosLek 22.05.2017
When you have active any pedal that boost enough the signal passing through from this volume pedal (drive, overdrive, compressor) then you cannot be completely mute, there will be a slight sound. But when someone has clean sound the pedal works perfectly. I don't recommend this pedal to guitar players who use the volume pedals for fading in notes combined the delay.

Artec Volume Pedal VPL-1
Fabio992 15.02.2014
Pro: solid construction, easy to use, knobs to adjust the min and max volume levels. Contra: I find the sensitivity a bit too high, that is, with a small shift of the pedal, the volume change is significant. This makes volume control a bit tricky.
Note: I power it with an external adapter, as it seems to eat up batteries

Functional

Functional pedal. I use it to set volume post distortion stage.

Setting max volume is useful it you run it in the loop of a non master-volume amp and want to use pre-amp distortion at lower volumes.

What the other reviews say about the sensitivity hump around the mid point is true, and takes some getting used to. Smooth volume swells are pretty tough with this pedal.

Sturdy and does the job

This thing is grand but as other people have said there's not much variance in between on and off. If you want to do smooth sweeps or violony sounds you'll want something else.

If you're looking for something to kill your sound or just lower it a bit for some texture this will do fine

Limited but very solid for the cost
Anonymous 23.07.2016
Basically, Violining is tricky due to none linear volume scale, but min and max level pots are very useful, and the build quality is very good for the price, to go between 2 levels of volume this pedal is perfect , violining is not easy with this but the pedal is built to last

Usable, cheap volume pedal
LaszloM 29.11.2013
This pedal is noise-free, no any hiss or noise during volume changing. What I discovered that it is not possible to adjust the volume to 0 volume, but besides of that, it is a good volume pedal.

M
Artec Volume Pedal
Mike561 23.05.2013
Bullet proof, road-worthy and well made. It's big but that makes it easy to use. I love the treadplate effect on the treadle. Minimum and maximum controls are handy but with the minimum control set to the lowest value there's still a tiny audible signal so it doesn't give silence, but why need that at a gig, just stop playing. Volume pedals seem dull but they're very useful and this one, with tuner out, extra controls and routing options is especially handy. But for your feet, if that makes sense. battery or standard PSU.
