This is a great book to read and learn basslines of great bassplayers and also most importantly to learn various styles. the is good for players who are self taught too....
I would highly recommend it...

Filled with just about everything you need to know on scales and music styles. Very helpful book if I'm not sure what to try and learn or practice. Very handy to read and understand.
