Sound and control
The N5 Hybrid is built around a 10mm dynamic driver with a DLC-coated diaphragm, covering a frequency range of 20Hz to 40kHz. With an impedance of 16 ohms and a sensitivity of 101dB, it delivers ample output while maintaining a controlled and coherent audio image, even at higher volumes. The highs are well-defined, the low end warm yet measured, and the overall tuning remains neutral, with no artificial emphasis. The AKG Headphones app lets users create personalised sound profiles, while a dedicated call EQ improves speech clarity during calls. Multipoint Bluetooth 5.3 supports the simultaneous connection of two devices, and a single-ear mode optimises battery life during everyday use. Touch controls are integrated directly on the earbuds, allowing quick and intuitive operation without interrupting playback.

Adaptive listening and mobility
The N5 Hybrid's active digital noise cancellation continuously analyses the surrounding environment, attenuating constant background noise such as traffic or office chatter. The AKG N5 Hybrid offers up to ten hours of playback on a single charge, with the charging case extending total runtime to around 40 hours. A full recharge takes approximately two hours, while fast charging provides up to four hours of listening from just 15 minutes in the case, supporting uninterrupted use throughout the day. The case itself charges via USB-C and also supports wireless charging with a compatible pad. The supplied accessories reflect the N5 Hybrid's flexible design, and include the 2.4GHz USB-C dongle, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and three pairs of ear tips (S, M, L) for a secure fit. A 60-day Qobuz trial is also included, allowing immediate access to high-resolution streaming content.

About AKG
AKG was founded in Vienna, in 1947, by Dr. Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless.
