Definitely light weight
This stand is very light weight and compact, which is why I bought it. You must tighten it very tightly to prevent it from wobbling. Also after a while, the telescoping bits become scratched and this definitely shows. Mine looks quite worn now, if that matters. In spite of all this, if you want a stand that can fit in a backpack, this is your stand. Also, be sure to keep in mind that due to its light weight, it will shake a bit on a wooden stage, if you or anyone else in your band is very active. I don't use mine much anymore, other than as a backup.

Excellent also to set up a Blumlein pair
I purchased this item, in order to be able to set up a Blumlein pair, using it mounted on a stereobar by K&M (also purchased here on Thomann), holding the upper microphone.
The possibility to shrink the rod, is rally great because you can keep the size quite contained, and it's quite light, and robust

Good but probably overpriced
This is a quality piece of kit - robust and functional. When telescoped, I can fit it comfortably within my 20 litre backpack for busking. It seems overpriced, given that you can get a full-sized mic stand with boom for less, but it seems that there is very little competition for compact mic stands, despite their value as busking kit. Thomann take note; if you produced a budget competitor to the GoStand it would sell well.

Neat and compact, but beware the construction quality
One ball end of the winding handle recently fell off mine and got lost. It's a simple thread with no thread-locking mechanism - so basically guaranteed to fall off eventually. No spares available either - so I will have to replace with a bolt and nyloc nut (and that will actually be an upgrade!). If you need a super-compact mic stand, this one is certainly interesting - but otherwise, I would stick to K&M ! Excellent designs, with lots of spares available.

A bit flimsy
Just as the stand it's a bit flimsy and not for heavy use. If you have the Airturn goStand, though, the boom is a nice match and makes it much more versatile and you can also get your equipment a bit higher, which is welcome since the stand itself in not all that high.
