Gamechanger
I was recording with my band and the bass sound was just very weak. It was fine for most parts, but sometimes it just needed some extra oomph to really get it to punch through and add something special to the song.
We tried several different pedals (TC Electronic Booster/Distortion, Big Muff, ...) but I found most of these cut out too much of the bass. It is still a bass guitar after all.
When we received this pedal and tried it out we immediately knew this was going to be the driving force for the bass sound from now on. What makes it great is that it doesn't cut out all the bass frequencies and just leaves you with a shrill, high-pitched sound. It colours your sound in a great way. It can be a drive monster, but you can also use it to just add a little to cut through better.
Really solid construction, feels like you could gig with this thing until the end of days!

A really great overdrive with one slip.
So I needed an overdrive to push my Jackson bases even harder on a really loud metal band. This thing really delivers from crispy to boomy sounds if you know what you are doing.
It is really a quality product. The knobs have a nice feel and the input and output is on the back, which is really great.
Now after trying the pedal for 3 months i found out if you don't use saturation, you can lose the lows. The contour knob helps that to bring up or if you increase it there is a really great miss driven in your face kinda sound.
One thing that bugs me is the lack of blend control but if you could tweak it this unit is great.
