Does make a difference
I have been trying to mod my YAMAHA 6335 trumpet with aftermarket parts, just like some people do with their cars. Unfortunately, most of the products are for makes like that of Bach and Schilke, and without thorough knowledge of the dimension of the valve cases and screw pitch, buying a part intended for another make which works on your trumpet is hit-and-miss at best.
But these heavy caps do fit on my trumpet, and they do change its playing characteristics quite conspicuously.
They add quite a bit of a substance to the sound of my trumpet, which also means more projection and good stability across the range.
Arguably, they add a little bit of a "Vincent Bach" characteristic to my YAMAHA - placebo effect as you may argue, but a positive change of the projecting quality is pretty affirmative in my case.

Significant changes
I put these heavy caps on my Yamaha Xeno Cornet and found significant changes in tone (much much darker) and responses (a lot faster and cleaner).

Great value Heavy Caps Set
I've always been a bit sceptical about these after market add ons but decided to take a punt with these Yamaha heavy bottom valve caps. I bought them as an experiment deciding that, if they were rubbish, then I hadn't paid Harrellson prices to try them. They fitted onto my YTR 6310Z trumpet perfectly (although they don't fit my YFH 6310Z flugel. Different thread pitch apparently.) I have done a couple of gigs and a few rehearsals with my trumpet fitted with the caps and have found that the sound of my trumpet is more mellow and centered. I am sure that the caps have made a difference to the tone of my trumpet. If this is just a placebo effect then I am still very happy with it. Good value and well made.

Best i ever tried
It really works, the sound is more rounded the attack is very clear and accurate. I use with ytr-6310ZS even works with bach trumpets. A bit more stable in high register, easyer to play!

Truly useless add on parts
These parts made the Xeno trumpet play worse with a dull tone. The standard caps are the right weight already. Maybe they would benefit a different model of Yamaha trumpet like 8310Z? I think someone else might find a use for them.

Perfect for my Yamaha Long Model Cornet
Took a chance buying these and I can honestly say I'm really glad I did. Perfect fit on my Yamaha YCR2310iii Cornet. Change in tone and response of my Cornet was improved and they look pretty good too. Would definitely recommend them.

Heavy Cap Set
The product is well made and fitted exactly onto my 1980 Yamaha C trumpet. Provided good stability and reduced some valve casing vibration. Allows tone to slot well and provide good stability.
